SOREGIES is a SEML (Local private limited company), belonging to the SIEEDV (Intercommunal syndicate of electricity and equipment from the Département de la Vienne), which distributes and supplies gas and electricity in the "Département de la Vienne" (86). With a local development objective, it aims at establishing several electricity production wind farms, globally representing 36 MW of nominal power.

A wind farm project follows several steps, in particular, a measurement and wind analysis phase, and then, after a pre-study, the choice of the best fitting wind turbine. Such a choice is based on competition between the main wind turbine providers. Through invitations to tender, studies, material, services and prices can be compared.

The goal of this mission consisted in making a software, for SOREGIES, realizing a synthesis of the main relevant data for each wind project. Then, technical quality and economical yield of the project have been evaluated. The best project was finally pointed out through the observation of some simple criteria.
